Nahrung
The diet consists of over 80% leaves (e.g., dandelion, ribwort plantain, clover, alfalfa, cress, various sprouts and seedlings, etc.), but also carrots, bell peppers, zucchini, or tomatoes (chopped and grated). Ready-made herbivore food or flower mix has also proven effective. Regularly mix vitamin E and minerals into the food.
Haltung
Temperature:
Air temperature between 25-28°C. The preferred temperature is 35-37°C; for this purpose, spotlights are installed so that local zones (e.g., on climbing branches) reach temperatures of up to 45°C. Temperatures are reduced to 20-25°C at night.
Humidity:
60-80% during the day, up to 95% at night. Here the use of special technology such as Super Rain or Super Fog is recommended, which can be precisely controlled via Humidity Control or the PRO Timer .

Furnishings:
Horizontally mounted, strong, gnarled climbing branches are a must in the terrarium. Backgrounds made of cork or similar materials to increase the surface area are also recommended. A large water feature can be heated, if possible. Large cork tubes or panels can be used as a retreat.
Terrarium size (permanent maintenance): Minimum requirement of 5x3x4 (LxWxH) of the CRF for a pair. A terrarium of at least 250x150x200 cm is recommended.

Lays an average of 30-45 eggs in long, self-dug burrows. Incubation period at 29 °C is approximately 70-90 days.
